Mitsubishi FR-A800 — E.THM Motor Thermal Overload
Raised when the electronic thermal relay calculates motor overheating. Mechanical load or wrong current setting is the cause.

- Recurs at a specific operating point
Probable Causes
- Mechanical overload
- Wrong electronic thermal current (Pr.9) setting
- Long low-speed operation (reduced fan cooling)
Checkpoints
- Measure motor current and load
- Verify the Pr.9 thermal-current setting
- Review the low-speed operating profile
Solution
If load is normal, correct Pr.9 to the motor nameplate; for continuous low-speed operation an external motor fan is recommended.
