Siemens SINAMICS G120 — F30002 DC Link Overvoltage
Occurs when the DC-link voltage exceeds the upper threshold. Usually from fast deceleration and undissipated regenerative energy.

Symptoms
- F30002 trip on deceleration
- Recurring fault on high-inertia loads
- Frequent when supply is high
Probable Causes
- Too-short deceleration time (p1121)
- No or faulty brake resistor/chopper
- Vdc_max controller disabled (p1240)
- Supply overvoltage
Checkpoints
- Increase deceleration time (p1121)
- Enable the Vdc_max controller (p1240)
- Measure the brake resistor if present
- Check supply voltage
Solution
First extend p1121 and enable the Vdc_max controller. If stops are frequent/fast, add a brake resistor.
